Buckhorn Middle School is seeking adjunct teachers!

Buckhorn Middle School is seeking adjunct teachers to teach Visual Art, Graphic Art, and Introduction to Spanish Culture. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate teaching techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each course offered. Compensation will be based on the specific course workload and number of hours worked.

Minimum Qualifications
An Adjunct Instructor must hold at least a high school diploma or the equivalent. 
An Adjunct Instructor must obtain background clearance through the Alabama State Department of Education. 
An Adjunct Instructor must hold or be willing to obtain an Adjunct permit. http://www.alsde.edu/…/…/Adjunct%20Instructor/FORM%20ADJ.pdf 
An Adjunct Instructor may be employed for teaching fields other than early childhood education, elementary education, and areas of special education. 
An Adjunct Instructor may only be employed less than half time. 
An Adjunct Instructor must work under the guidance of a mentor who will be designated as the teacher of record. 
An Adjunct Instructor in some career and technical education teaching fields requires appropriate business and industry certification.
