My name is Mr. Chad Kennedy, and I have been involved in education as a teacher for 13 years. I have also been working as an adjunct professor for Athens State University since 2008. This is my 2nd year at BMS and I look forward to another phenomenal year!
I graduated from Sulligent High School in 1998. I then received my associate's degree from Bevill State in 2000 and ultimately obtained my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Athens State in 2005. While teaching, I continued my educational journey at the University of Alabama, receiving my master’s degree in elementary education/curriculum & instruction in 2007 and my education specialist degree in 2012. In January 2016, I entered the Samford University/Madison County cohort to study educational leadership and completed the program in December 2016. I hope to pursue my doctorate soon.
I have been married to my wife, Tiffany, for 11 years. She received her doctorate degree in physical therapy from UAB in 2006. We are blessed to have 2 sons (Justin & Tyler) that provide us with new adventures every day! Justin is 9 and will start 4th grade this year. Tyler is 6 and is in 1st grade. They both are very active in basketball, baseball, and piano.
I have been truly blessed to be a part of the Buckhorn family, and I look forward to continuing to develop my relationship with this community. I am very passionate about children and my goal is to help each student reach his/her highest potential. If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
